Hamburg to compete in Trofeu Ciutat de Palma 2012

German Bundesliga side Hamburg SV will be the team to face Real Mallorca in the Trofeu Ciutat de Palma, the club’s annual team presentation event.

Hamburg endured a difficult 2011/2012 campaign finishing in 15th of 18, just one place away from the Relegation Play-Off spot. Michael Oenning was sacked as Head Coach in late-September being replaced by former German international Thorsten Fink. But Fink, despite taking over as early in the season as October, couldn’t turn change the club’s fortune.

The world’s 16th most valuable club was a founding member of the Bundesliga in 1963. They have never been relegated, and the 15th place finish last season was the worst in the club’s history.

Kick-off is at 9pm local time (8pm BST) and tickets will be available on the gate at the Iberostar Estadi. Tickets are priced at €10 (behind goals), €20 (opposite grandstand) and €40 (grandstand).
