Mallorca make payments to players and creditors

Real Mallorca have had two very large transactions leave their bank account. First they completed the payment of €2.6 million to their unsecured creditors before completing the payment of player and coaching staff wages worth €4.1 million.

Both payments are positive news for Mallorca fans. They both give the club more financial credibility, and the payment of the player’s wages is the second consecutive season in which the money has been received before the deadline. This currently being somewhat of a rarity in Spain.

But the dent in Mallorca’s wallet soon recovered. The club received an extra €5 million from Mediapro as part of a settlement made earlier this week. The payment is made in addition to the €1.2 million it receives from Mediapro per month.

The money helps give the club some cash flow as they negotiate their potential summer signings.
