Chori Castro set to join Real Sociedad

Spanish media, including journalists from Palma, are reporting that talks between winger Chori Castro and Real Mallorca have broken down leaving the Uruguayan ready to join Real Sociedad.

The club were ready to give Castro a small increase to his £16,500 per week deal, more than they were willing to do twelve months ago, but refused to pay the £800,000 signing bonus requested.

It was reported earlier in the week that despite the two opening talks, Mallorca weren’t keen on ‘doing anything crazy’ to secure Castro’s signature. And it looks as if that has come to fruition with the break down in talks.
