Mallorca captain Nunes receives big money UAE offer

Real Mallorca captain José Nunes has received a ‘big money offer’ from the United Arab Emirates. The three year offer offer will ‘greatly multiply’ his current wages, and this opportunity is turning the 35-year-old’s head.

‘I’m talking to my family,’ the Portuguese defender told radio station Cope. ‘It’s a difficult decision because of my age. I need to have a think about it. These deals can come around just once in a lifetime. Mallorca will be the first to know my decision because I owe them alot and I respect them greatly.’

It’s not the first time Mallorca have had a fight on their hands to keep their influential captain. In the summer of 2010 Sevilla submitted a formal bid for both Nunes and his defensive partner Iván Ramis giving the both of them the opportunity of Champions League football. But fortunately for Los Bermellones, Nunes rejected the approach.

The defender has said he will inform the club of his decision at the end of the week.
