Caparrós given two match touchline ban

Real Mallorca Head Coach Joaquín Caparrós has been handed a two match touchline ban after being sent off in the 89th minute against Real Madrid.

He was warned on 87 minutes by Pérez Montero for criticising the referee to the fourth official. He then received his marching orders two minutes later when he left the technical area in protest at another refereeing decision.

Caparrós was furious when he was sent off for leaving his technical area despite Real Madrid manager José Mourinho entering the field of play to issue players with instructions when Madrid scored their second goal.

Caparrós has also been hit with a €600 fine whilst his employers were given a €180 fine.

The club has appealed the decision.
