Alejandro Alfaro completes move from Sevilla to Mallorca

It’s only taken all summer, but Real Mallorca have finally completed the signing of Sevilla winger Alejandro Alfaro in a €700,000 (£611,000) deal. This morning, the player completed a medical in Palma and Serra Ferrer and Sevilla president Del Nido put the finishing touches to the deal which has just been confirmed.

Alfaro joins Mallorca on a five-year deal worth £11,700 per week with a release clause of €18 million (£15.7 million). The 24-year-old works primarily as a right winger, but can also play as a second striker or move across the midfield if required.

Sevilla president Del Nido also tried adding young striker Rodri to the transfer, but whilst Serra Ferrer conceded that Rodri was a good player, he didn’t believe he’d fit into the Mallorca team.

Alfaro will be unveiled at the Iberostar Estadi later today.

Meanwhile, Serra Ferrer is hopeful of signing AIK Solna duo Teteh Bangura and Mohamed Bangura for a combined fee of €4 million (£3.5 million). He will have to move quick, however, as some reports suggest that the former has today completed a €2.5 million move to Turkish side Bursaspor – although this has not been confirmed.
