Tomeu Nadal joins Getafe

Real Mallorca goalkeeper Tomeu Nadal has left the club to join Getafe on a two-year-deal, with an option of a third.

Tomeu passed a medical in Madrid earlier today and is set to be unveiled at the club to provide a challenge to loan goalkeeper Miguel Àngel Moyà as the Getafe number one.

The 22-year-old was out of contract at Mallorca and had been offered a new three year deal which he turned down. He explained to IB3 Ràdio, ‘I do not feel valued in Mallorca. This summer Germán Lux has left and they are looking for another goalkeeper to replace him.’

Meanwhile, Mallorca have agreed personal terms with Israeli striker Tomer Hemed. There had been problems ironing out a few details in the contract offer, but they were soon resolved. He will fly to Palma on Thursday to undergo a medical and sign the contract.
