Ayoze joins Deportivo
Left back Ayoze Diaz has left Real Mallorca and joined Segunda División side Deportivo la Coruña on a free transfer after his contract with Los Bermellones expired.
Ayoze joined Mallorca in July 2008 as a replacement for Fernando Navarro at left back but was only second choice to Enrique Corrales in his first season. He soon recovered and became Gregorio Manzano’s first choice in the 2009/2010 season. But he had a less happy third and final season at the club battling with Kevin García for the left back position.
The 29-year-old was critical of the club after he wasn’t thanked or wished goodbye when he left the club, despite Mallorca attempting to negotiate a contract extension.
He joins Deportivo on a 3 year deal as they attempt to regain promotion to La Liga.
