  • Fan and journalist Tomeu Maura has called Michael Laudrup ‘the worst coach in the history of Mallorca’.
Monday 23rd May 2011
  • Striker Pierre Webó has asked for a three year contract extension. The problem is that the Cameroonian is currently £19,500 per week. His wage will have to be more or less halved for him to remain at the club.
Tuesday 24th May 2011
  • Mallorca are in talks with Atlético Madrid’s Juan Valera. Talks are at an advanced stage but he is also talking to Racing.
Thursday 26th May 2011
  • Emilio Nsue has been called up to the Spanish squad for the U21 European Championships this summer.
  • Former Mallorca players Miguel Ángel Moyá and David Navarro have been told by Valencia that they are surplus to requirements.
  • Moyá has been linked with a loan move with an option to buy back to Mallorca, and this only strengthens rumours. David Navarro could be useful for Mallorca, but criticised the club a couple of years ago so a move back looks unlikely.
  • Rubén has the choice between a contract renewal or joining Osasuna. We’re 99% sure it’s the latter.
Friday 27th May 2011
  • Real Mallorca lost 3-0 to Real Cartegena of Colombia in a post-season friendly.
  • The occasion was used to announce a co-operation agreement between the two sides. Real Mallorca has preferential treatment over Real Cartegena players, whilst Real Cartegena will keep Real Mallorca informed of any talented players developing in the country. Real Cartegena will have used of Mallorca’s facilities when on the island.
  • It is all but certain now that Rubén will be joining Osasuna on a two-year deal which will extend to three if he plays 20 matches.
  • Ayoze, too, is set to leave. He has criticised the fact they have not said goodbye or thanked him for his time at the club.
  • Trejo meanwhile wants to leave too. He is not happy that the club hasn’t kept in touch, particularly when his loan side didn’t pay players.
  • Trejo also remarked that he doesn’t want to work with Michael Laudrup.
  • It also seems more likely that Dudu Aouate will be leaving in the summer, according to reports. But Pep Martí will sign a 1-year extension.
  • Mallorca will return for pre-season training on the 7th July.
