Jaume Cladera has revealed his intentions to regenerate Estadio Lluís Sitjar to be ready for the 2016/2017 season. He also noted RCD Espnayol’s Estadi Cornellà-El Prat as a stadium to be proud of.
After a meeting with an architect, the stadium was valued at £6.3 million with an estimated repair cost of £2.8 million. Cladera was advised not to declare the site as in ruin as the cost of repair was less than 50% of the stadiums overall value.
Meanwhile, Miguel Angel Nadal has revealed he dreams of a return home to Es Fortí.
The reasons for wanting to leave Son Moix include the costs for removing the running track and improving the comfort of the stadium which they feel is unsuitable for older fans.
Board member Biel Cerdà revealed that the regeneration will include restaurants, a shopping centre, a small auditorium and a library. Their plans will be confirmed around the 15th February. But they admit finding the money for the project could be an issue.
Utz Claassen’s 125 steps to internationalise RCD Mallorca means he will be spending the next week in talks with numerous airlines, tour operators and football clubs in Germany to establish links. They also plan to improve the infrastructure of Iberostar, services, merchandising etc.
Gonzalo Castro’s agent, Paco Casal – who also owns 30% of his contract, has flown to Palma to talk with Llorenç Serra Ferrer who says he has received an offer. His wage of £16,000 per week is an issue for the club in extending his contract as he appears to be out of the door.
