Keita terminates Valladolid contract

Striker Alhassane Keita has returned to the island after terminating his loan contract with Real Valladolid. The Guinean’s £11,800 p/w contract was causing Llorenç Serra Ferrer headaches before the Segunda Division side swooped in to sign the player on transfer deadline day.

But all has not been well for Keita. He has played just 315 minutes in both league and cup in the first half of the season and has now decided that it would be best to leave the club.

There are said to be several interested teams in the United Arab Emirates who would like to acquire Keita’s services, but he would like to see out the remainder of his contract which expires in the summer of 2013. He would like to remain in Spain and particularly would like to remain with Los Bermellones.
