Mistakes from Pau Cendrós and Víctor against Racing, costing Los Bermellones three points, once again reminded Laudrup the problems he is facing in the right back and strikers role. No player currently seems upto the task in either position.
José Nunes regrets his sides missed chances which led to their embarrassing defeat to Racing. He said, “We had chances to win, but it was not to be. We knew that it was an important game, and I am annoyed in the way that we have lost. The reality is that we had no luck in front of goal. We played a bad game, and in two games everything has changed for us. My colleagues and I have always said that we need to get as many points as soon as possible because the second round is always more difficult.”
Misfiring striker Víctor Casadesús stated that “I have no excuses for my failure, it should have been a goal. The chance was very clear, and it should have ended in the net. I am not playing much at the moment, but such an occasion would have given me a lot of confidence if I had scored. Maybe when I was going through, this has influenced my mood. However, the situation in the table is not a bad one. We have been beaten, but we have 21 points.”
