Lennon plays down Ramis move

Neil Lennon has played down talk of a loan move for Tottenham midfielder Niko Kranjcar and Real Mallorca defender Ivan Ramis.

Recent reports had suggested that both players were January signing targets for the Celtic boss but he has denied making a move to take either player to Parkhead. Croatian star Kranjcar is though to be on his way out of White Hart Lane while Ramis, who was on the verge of a move to Glasgow last January, was said to be available if a transfer bid was made.

“I don’t know anything about a move for Kranjcar,” Lennon told Sky Sports.

“He’s a good player but I’ve had no contact with anyone at Tottenham.

“And the same goes for suggestions we’re back in for Ramis. That’s news to me.”
