Real Mallorca chase Sercan Yıldırım
Primera Division sides Villarreal, Hercules and Mallorca are all thought to be pursuing Bursaspor striker Sercan Yıldırım with the view to a January transfer swoop, reports suggest.
Goal.com Spain comments that the 20-year-old has became hot property in Turkish football after guiding the Green Crocodiles to their first ever title last season, and has suitably impressed the Spanish trio, who are considering an enquiry as to his availability.
Hercules already have the formidable pairing of David Trezeguet and Nelson Valdez, but require back up should either fall victim to injury, while Villarreal similarly have a reliable front two in Giuseppe Rossi and Nilmar, but little alternatives in their small squad.
Furthermore, Mallorca’s summer deal for Fernando Cavenaghi has not held as much impact at the Islanders would have hoped, and so they will be back in the market for other striking options.
Yıldırım is currently playing Champions League football with Bursaspor, and despite his side struggling to make any kind of impact on the tournament, his individual performances have been of sufficient quality to garner admirers.
Bursaspor would demand in the region of £6m to land the services of Yildirim, who is already an established Turkish international, with six full caps to his name.
