Administrators to sue Nando Pons

The administrators of Real Mallorca have confirmed they will sue controversial director Nando Pons for £820,000. Pons received a £820,000 bonus when arranging the sale of former striker Dani Güiza given to him by former chairman Vicenç Grande. The administrators have said that this should, however, be regarded as a donation and not a bonus.

The administrators claim that the donation was made by Grande without the club’s board knowing about the deal.

Pons is already a largely disliked figure on the island with fans due to his large contract that runs until the summer of 2014 that he refuses to mutually terminate and his hand in the club’s financial demise. His part in the club’s financial demise is well documented and proved in his £820,000 bonus from Güiza’s sale.
