Marti signs contract extension

Veteran midfielder Pep Marti has signed a one year extension to his contract at Real Mallorca. The contract was initially left to expire due to financial issues and bonuses due to Sevilla if the contract was extended. However, the club was able to agree an extension with a player they really want to keep.

The year long deal will take Marti through his 36th birthday. His experience is crucial added to the fact that he was labelled ‘one of the most consistent players’ by new manager Laudrup. Marti played in all but 4 league games last term.
