Dudu Aouate signs contract extension

Real Mallorca’s Israeli goalkeeper Dudu Aouate has attempted to put to bed rumours over his future by extending his contract until 2013. It was known that Aouate was deep in talks over a contract extension with his intention of finishing his career on the island, but as rumours increased he was thought to be on his way out.

Dudu Aouate signed for the club in January 2009 for £700,000 to provide competition for then number one Miguel Angel Moya. And on Moya’s summer departure to Valencia, he became a mainstay in the first team with numerous strong performances. His signature will be a welcome relief to Mallorca fans.
