Valencia chase Chori Castro
Reports in Spain are indicating that Valencia, who are expecting the departures of Mata and Silva any day now, are ready to replace them with Real Mallorca’s Uruguayan winger Gonzalo Castro.
It’s well know in Spain that the Islanders are obliged to dispose of their stars, and more than you think are ready to take full advantage. In this case, los Che are tempted by the Uruguayan who had a great campaign at the ONO Estadi. And his price tag is very reasonable too, although that wouldn’t be a problem for the club who has just sold David Villa and Zigic and with the imminent departures of the aforementioned Mata and Silva.
Castro, whose contract runs until the summer of 2012, has another advantage. He will soon hold dual citizenship, meaning he won’t take up one of the three non-EU places.
