Nsue wants to succeed in Mallorca

Emilio Nsue knows he has time to make the jump to La Liga. Experience in Liga Adelante has served to strengthen his confidence and demonstrate to those at Mallorca he is good enough for the squad next season.

Now 20 years old, he has played at all levels of the Spanish leagues with a European title and promotion with Real Sociedad under his belt. “It was a unique and unforgettable experience. I won a title with Sociedad. They will always be in my heart for helping me live a dream. But Mallorca is my boyhood team, despite how well I was treated at San Sebastien,” he said.

Nsue made his first division debut for Mallorca against Villarreal in the 2007/2008 season but failed to establish a regular place under former manager Gregorio Manzano. He spent the next season on loan at Castellón scoring 8 goals. His performances were rewarded with a call up to the Spanish U21 team where he played against Norway in Cartagena. But the last campaign at Real Sociedad saw him play across midfield as well as a striker. “I’ve played everywhere and the important thing is to play and the coach has a chance with the versatility that I have shown this season.”

Nsue was once a target of top European clubs, including Arsenal.
