Club granted UEFA licence

The RFEF has granted Real Mallorca a UEFA licence which means the club will participate in next season’s Europa League. This was despite initial fears that Athletic Bilbao’s complaints over the money owed for Aritz Aduriz would take away this option.

The federation stated in the letter sent to the club that “after reviewing the documentation submitted by the various clubs and corporations, and given the proposal issued by the general co-ordinator of UEFA licensing in regards to responsibilities and powers set out in the general rules of the UEFA licence, the committee decided to grant the licence.”

The clubs that have been granted UEFA licences are FC Barcelona, Real Madrid, Valencia, Sevilla, Real Mallorca, Getafe, Villarreal, Athletic Bilbao, Atletico Madrid, Osasuna, Real Racing Club, Real Valladolid and CD Tenerife, according to the letter from the RFEF.
