Manzano: “We are dreaming of something big”

With another victory at the ONO Estadi and Real Mallorca sitting in the Champions League places, Gregorio Manzano has recalled that “the Champions League depends entirely on ourselves. This team is showing this season that it can overcome adversity in many ways, which is shown in the fight for Europe.”

The Andalucian coach went onto say, “the spirit shown is ambitious, a product of brilliant partnership amongst the players to overcome all difficulties.”

With the last stretch of the season just around the corner, with five league games to go Manzano has said “we’re dreaming of something big which hasn’t happened here for a while. We are fighting for the Champions League. And considering how much money the Champions League brings in, it would strengthen us in our financial struggle.”

Looking ahead, Manzano said his team will “keep moving forward,” and used the press conference to send a message to the fans, saying “I invite the fans, the media and the rest of society so they are with us in our final three home games (against Malaga, Real Madrid and Espanyol) because this is our foundation to reach Europe.”

Finally, the coach stressed that “hopefully we will be able to celebrate a year that will be remembered for many reasons in a few league games time.”
