Juan Emmanuel Culio was presented as RCD Mallorca’s newest player yesterday afternoon in the town of Valldemossa. Culio was all smiles after receiving a kind welcome from the large contingent of Mallorca fans waiting outside the La Cartuja historical building.
The Argentine signed a two year contract with the club and hopes to be one of the first names on head coach Vázquez’s team sheet in this new 2016/17 season. “I will restore all of the confidence that this club has shown for me” explained the muscular Culio, before admitting that, “it has been quite some time since I have been this happy to be a football player. All players should want to be part of a project as exciting as this one at RCD Mallorca.”
The talented left-footed midfielder went on to mention that the club came highly recommended by his good friend and former Real Mallorca head coach Héctor Cúper, who said, ‘at this club, you will want to stay forever.’
Finally and fittingly, in front of the animated crowd, Culio promised to dedicate his first goal to the town of Valldemossa.
